Evacuated

what an interesting day.

I was 20 mins into my Companies lecture when the fire alarm starts blaring. "doo doo doo" it whistles. Obviously, nobody in the room moves a muscle because we've heard alarms like this go off all the time. Sure we listen attentively because it would be just another 'fire drill' to bug us in our lecture while we slept.

But not this time...

This time the intercom yelled "this is not a drill. repeat this is not a drill" "this building must be evacuated immediately" "please find your next exit and leave the building"

Well that certainly woke me up! It was pretty funny actually cause everyone still took their sweet time to leave the lecture theatre despite the possibility of us all becoming human sacrifices in the building that might EXPLODE! [nah i'm being overdramatic]

But there was a cause for concern when we went outside - there was a huge red fire truck and 3 fire fighters, there was campus security shooing us students away, they even set up a barrier and evacuated all the other surrounding buildings. There were so many students outside! Chat time for me!

Anyways were waiting for this suspected 'fire of doom' to loom over our building - but to no avail. 45 mins later we were told that it was just a gas leak in one of the science labs. Somehow when i think of science labs: i think of a short asian guy and tall white guy and a mexican guy in white laboratory coats and black glasses with stickytape in the middle, standing over a bunsen burner giggling and snorting and laughing away at their new biochemical creation... hmmm - - maybe one of them set off the gas leak? I betcha it was the asian guy.

So the morning was interesting. Hmm then had tutes and lunch with friends and tutes again and lecture. And then i called this barrister guy i was supposed to attend court with tomorrow but apparently his trial was adjourned so my court session was cancelled.

I was so bummed out then: i really wanted to see that trial - i needed that legal system buzz - the court process is actually very entertaining - especially if you are watching a juicy juicy case with drama and intrigue! It's better than TV i'm being serious! because it's real people, real situations that really happened and they are real judgments that the prisoners really have to do time for.

But nevertheless - had lunch with my buddies and felt so much better. Bennet told me about this exorcism that's going down tomorrow. So tomorrow - is all about watching an exorcism. hahaha. nah it's just a guy that came from america that can apparently exorcise people. No I'm not going to a small house where there's only 4 other people or whatever carrying crosses and candles. I'm not going to chant and carry on. It's at a church area with about 300 other people and i'm just going to watch. hahah. this guy is apparently really popular with this type of stuff and it's going to be interesting hearing what he has to say about the topic of demons and devils and heaven and hell and if there is an afterlife/ bad pastlife etc. And i want to see if he really does 'cast out the devil' in someone. Will they speak in tongues? i don't know - i'll write all about it on Wednesday!
