Nikki voted out
Okay so I'm researching right now for a law assignment and I click into the Brisbane City council website and right there on the front page is a picture of a half-dirty looking little boy and a pic of someone's butt protuding from a black tyre... does this not trouble anybody? what is this picture saying - despite it having won a photography award by the Lord Mayor. The slogan says "dedicated to a better Brisbane" but if any lay person were to just click into here, and see the picture of a half-dirty boy and a butt sticking out of a tyre - their perception of a better brisbane would be obscured. I just don't get it. There's not even an explanation of what the picture is trying to portray: it's just confusing and leaves me feeling sorry that somebody forgot to clean the little boy and he's just lost and confused too.I'm just confused...
Oh yeah and for this assignment: the purpose of me going on the internet was to obtain the book from which the review question originates. But as per usual the library only has 2 copies of the dang thing (all of which have already been borrowed; and 1 of which is located in Gatton which is like woop woop land - - oh so far away). So i am faced with the dilemma: must i continue soldiering on with the knowledge that only 2 people in the whole law course (including the one in Gatton) have read the full author's review and just hope to gosh that they don't understand the author's intention; or shall i opt not to complete the assignment?
I always pick B but end up doing option A anyway. arrgh!
In any event, my day was great today: i think i have taken a liking to this blog thing: i never used to like journal writing - it was only when i took up Journalism in my first year at uni that i started journal writing. It's helped with my journalistic skills for the most part: and i guess has improved my computer skills slightly. [haha what a bunch of baloney] did i mention this is my first blog ever?
Anyhoo!
In other news: the prospect of watching Nikki Webster dancing on Dancing with the Stars was too amusing for me not to watch it. so i did watch it just then and she was actually good - she looks older now and was wearing a wig but still looks older. I used to compare the whole Nikki Webster style of music with Filipino's "Totoy Bibbo" or maybe that Korean girl that sings "In or Out" - - just so bubblegum.
Bubblegum pop can only be stomached in small doses. If you have too much of it: it will form an ulcer in your stomach and give you indigestion.
but i guess as she is growing older - her music will change and hopefully improve.
what else what else. It's Saide's birthday tomorrow so Happy 22nd Birthday Saide!!
